Your new role

This Team Leader role centres on guiding the daily operations of harm‑reduction programs, ensuring they meet organisational, regulatory and policy expectations. The position focuses on responding to complex community care needs by building strong, effective teams and maintaining productive partnerships with key stakeholders. You’ll provide operational leadership, support clinicians to deliver high‑quality services, and contribute your clinical expertise to ongoing program development. The role also carries responsibility for maintaining consistent service delivery, collaborative working relationships and reliable reporting standards.

Your skills and experience
  • Tertiary Qualification — Relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or Allied Health.
  • Certificate IV in AOD — Or completion of core competencies (or willingness to complete within 24 months).
  • Dual Diagnosis Training — Completed or willing to complete within 24 months.
  • Management/Leadership Qualifications — Desirable but not essential.
  • Assessment & Counselling Experience — Preferably with AOD or dual‑diagnosis consumers, including ability to support staff.
  • Therapeutic Approaches — Experience with MET, CBT coping skills, Family Inclusive Practice, self‑help groups, and Community Reinforcement.
  • Staff Supervision & Leadership — Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex presentations in health settings.
  • Harm Reduction Knowledge — In‑depth understanding and experience (desirable).
