Our Youth Residential Care and Youth Program provides safe, high‑quality support to children and young people who cannot live with their families, kinship carers or foster carers. We offer a stable 24‑hour residential environment for young people with complex needs who have often experienced trauma or abuse.
As a Team Leader, you will guide, coach and inspire staff to deliver the best possible care. This key leadership role supports some of our most vulnerable young people and works closely with the Program Manager to strengthen practice, build capability and ensure a positive team culture.
You will lead a team of dedicated frontline workers to provide consistent, trauma‑informed support. Your role ensures services meet program goals, accreditation standards, funding requirements and legislative obligations. You will also collaborate with internal and external partners and demonstrate strong understanding of the challenges young people face in residential care, including the ability to assess and manage risk safely.
Our work isn’t easy, but it matters. Work with people who care as much as you.
In addition to your base hourly rate (SCHADS Level 6) and super, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and the ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits, which can be used for living expenses such as groceries, bills, clothing, streaming services, and much more.
With our meal entertainment benefit of $2,650 annually, you can save on dining out and drinks, making the most of your pre-tax dollars. At Uniting, you can also access the following:
