We're seeking an experienced Senior Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) Youth Worker to support young people undergoing voluntary withdrawal or seeking respite from substance use. In this leadership role, you’ll help coordinate day-to-day operations, supervise a team of Youth AOD Workers, and provide therapeutic support and guidance to young people in a safe and welcoming environment. Your skills and experience
You will bring with you:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Nursing, or Allied Health.
Certificate IV in AOD or completion of the AOD Core Competencies (or willingness to complete within the first 12 months of employment)
Previous experience working with people with AOD and/or Mental Health issues
Knowledge of screening, assessment and community-based treatment for clients with AOD and mental health issues
Experience in developing individual treatment plans, post withdrawal and discharge planning
An understanding of AOD withdrawal and the harm minimisation framework
