Your new role

As a Procurement Specialist, you will provide expert guidance on contract management to stakeholders to ensure effective oversight of contracts & develop and execute on procurement strategies that support organisational objectives.

In this role, you will oversee Uniting’s vehicle operations through the outsourced fleet partner to ensure maximum efficiency, safety and regulatory compliance while minimising costs and carbon footprint.

You will also support the procurement team and other stakeholders to make informed value-based procurement and contract management decisions that best balance key decision factors including cost, quality/reliability, supply/demand, social benefits, efficiency, and risk.

Your skills and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience in one of the following subject areas: procurement, purchasing, supply chain management, commercial, financial, facilities management, or business management.
  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement role or as an active contributor to a commercial management function.
  • Demonstrated experience in fleet management.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management and administration, contract reviews and interpreting contract conditions for non-commercial team members.
  • Experience in leading, guiding, influencing, and consulting with internal stakeholders
  • Proactive problem solver with strong interpersonal skills and great attention to detail.
