Your new role

The Orange Door is transforming the way people access support in times of need, bringing together specialist services, expert practitioners, and a shared commitment to safety, wellbeing and empowerment.

We’re building a strong, connected team to support:

  • Women, children, young people and families experiencing family violence
  • People using violence who need support to change
  • Families seeking help with the care, development and wellbeing of infants, children and young people

By uniting Community Service Organisations (including Uniting), Aboriginal services, Family Safety Victoria (FSV), and the Department of Families, Fairness & Housing (DFFH), The Orange Door creates a single, accessible entry point for support — and we want passionate practitioners to join us.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, safe and effective responses to families when they need it most.

  • Be the first point of contact for people seeking help
  • Provide compassionate, informed advice and information
  • Conduct risk assessments and engage with clients to understand their needs
  • Work closely with partner agencies to create coordinated, client‑focused responses
  • Support improved outcomes for children, young people and families
