Your new role

As a Mental Health & Wellbeing Clinician, you will hold a caseload and operate within a Step-Up/Step- Down model of care, using your skills and experience in mental health service delivery to support consumers’ psychosocial recovery and skill development. You will collaborate closely with the EIPSR Peer support workers who provide lived experience expertise and community connection. In this role, you will work closely with Grampians Health clinicians, consumers, families, carers and other stakeholders to support recovery, wellbeing, community participation, and achievement of individual recovery goals.

Your skills and experience

• Tertiary qualifications in an allied health discipline (Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent)
• Current valid driver’s license
• First Aid & CPR (or able to complete within the first 6months of employment)
• Demonstrated understanding and experience working within the recovery frame-work with people living with mental health conditions and compromised social determinants of health.
• Demonstrated understanding of mental services interventions for responding to clients with complexity of needs.
• Understanding of harm minimization approaches the treatment and management of persons with comorbid mental health issues and addiction challenges.
• Demonstrated experience in working at a direct care level, including the ability to manage a 1:1 case load and prioritize different needs within group activities and know when to seek assistance.
• Demonstrated understanding of, and compliance with, Family Violence interventions, including the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Intermediate Framework and Information Sharing Schemes (FVISS and CISS).
• Demonstrated understanding of Trauma informed care principles and evidence based and psychosocial recovery modalities
