Your new role

As a Men’s Behaviour Change Practitioner, you will deliver group-based family violence intervention for men who have been identified as perpetrators of family violence, and have been referred by Corrections Victoria, the Magistrates Court or through community streams.

In this role, you may also conduct initial intake assessments, individual sessions and provide appropriate referrals to consumers who have been referred to the program. You will work within a dynamic team and in collaboration with other services to manage risk and increase the safety of people affected by family violence.

Your skills and experience
  • Undergraduate qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent.
  • Principal Facilitator in line with the Men’s Behaviour Change Standards (Graduate Certificate in Client Assessment and Case Management) or willingness to obtain
  • Experience working in Family Violence service system
  • Prior experience in group facilitation
  • Proven experience in Family Violence intervention and support service delivery
  • Sound understanding of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, Victorian government family violence service system reforms, the MARAM framework.
