About the opportunity
The Forensic AOD Clinician works to reduce AOD related harms for men both sentenced and on remand at Port Phillip Prison, focusing on the relationship between substance use and offending behaviour.
This position plays a critical role in the provision of effective forensic AOD treatment through assessments, group facilitation and other treatment services using contemporary, evidenced-based models of offender behaviour and harm reduction principles.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a passion in harm reduction principles, and group faciliatation for men in the criminal justice system with substance use behaviours. Previous experience working within a Prison setting is desired, but not essential.
