Your Business, Your Hours, Your Impact — with new Start-Up Funding now available!
Family Day Care offers a fulfilling and flexible career where you can build long-lasting relationships with children and families in your community while running your own business from home.
You’ll have the freedom to set your own hours and create a personalised care and learning environment for the children in your care. At Uniting, we support educators to get started and thrive in the Family Day Care sector. And now, eligible new educators can access Start-Up Funding to help cover the costs of setting up their business.
If you’re ready to embrace the flexibility of a smaller setting and have a meaningful impact on the children you care for, we’d love to hear from you!
Work your way: Choose your hours and days – you have the flexibility to design your work schedule around your life.
Foster relationships: Build meaningful connections with children and families in your community.
Earn while caring for your own children: Balance family life and work by running your Family Day Care business from home.
Support at every step: We provide training, workshops, and regular check-ins to ensure your success and development.
Start-Up Funding Available: Eligible new educators may receive financial support through the Family Day Care Educator Start-Up Funding Trial, helping with initial set-up costs such as equipment, insurance, and safety upgrades.
We’re seeking qualified and passionate early childhood educators who want to be part of a supportive network of Family Day Care professionals. If you’re eager to work in a flexible, independent environment and make a difference in children’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.
To get started, you’ll need a current Working with Children Check, First Aid and CPR, Public Liability Insurance, and an Australian Business Number (ABN). No prior business experience? No problem! We’ll guide you through every step.
Click Apply to express your interest and our team will be in touch soon (or option 2: call 1800 183 103 for an informal chat with the Family Day Care team.)
