Our Care and Placement Services Program delivers support to vulnerable children and young people who cannot live with their own families or are living with families where intensive support is in place.
As a Support Worker in our team, you will work directly with children and young people in out of home care services in Gippsland. You will assist with daily living tasks and help them with strategies to support positive behaviours, contributing to their overall growth and resilience.
Choose when you work and choose your office location from Sale, Bairnsdale or Morwell. We have a range of shifts available, including weekend work and out of hours work. As it’s Out of Home Care, it does involve driving with the use of a Uniting fleet car.
In addition to a base hourly rate starting at $37.35 and superannuation, you’ll also receive a 25% casual loading. You can also increase your take-home pay by accessing salary packaging for living expenses such as groceries, bills, clothing, streaming services, and more.
You will hold or be currently studying a Diploma of Community Services or other qualification relevant to child, youth and family welfare.
