Your new role

The Ballarat Zero Project is working to end rough sleeping homelessness in Ballarat. It brings together local services to help people who are sleeping rough find safe, long-term housing. Everyone involved shares information and works together to remove barriers so that people can move out of homelessness and into secure homes.

The Assertive Outreach Worker plays an important role in this project. They meet people where they are—on the streets—and build trust by offering support in a respectful and caring way. Their job includes helping people access housing, connecting them with other services, and working closely with the project team to make sure no one is left behind.
