Your new role

Provide compassionate, client-centred support to young people seeking voluntary withdrawal and/or respite from alcohol and other drug use. The Youth Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) Worker plays a key role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and culturally inclusive environment, supporting young people’s wellbeing, recovery goals, and engagement with appropriate services and care.

Your skills and experience

You will bring with you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Nursing, Allied Health, or a related field
  • Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), completion of core competencies, or willingness to complete within 12 months of employment
  • Competencies in dual diagnosis, or willingness to complete within 24 months of employment
  • Knowledge of the Alcohol and Other Drug sector, including the relationship with the Forensic AOD System and Central Intake Services
  • Strong communication, engagement, and interpersonal skills with young people and stakeholders
