As a Case Support Worker you will have a varied role which involves supporting the smooth running of the program with everyday tasks such as setting up and cleaning up the space between scheduled visits, managing and maintaining resources, and logistical support. Depending on experience, Case Support workers may supervise and record family contact visits, coaching parents to meet their child’s needs. As part of a child’s ‘team’, Case Support workers partner with Keyworkers around contact visit planning and goal reviews. The role will provide transport for children and their families participating in the program and some after-hours work will be required.
Our Enhanced Therapeutic Contact Service (ETCS) is a unique program which facilitates supervised contact visits for children and young people aged 0-18 years, who have been removed from their parents’ care due to concerns of abuse and/or neglect. Responding to referrals from Child Protection, the program aims to support contact as a therapeutic experience for children, their parents and family members in a safe and stable environment. ETCS practitioners develop goals with parents and offer role modelling, coaching and psychoeducation to support them to strengthen or rebuild relationships and meet their children’s needs during contact visits. Contact visits can occur at our Doveton centre, in the community or the home.
