Your new role

As the Service Leader and Early Childhood Teacher for our Kindergarten in Bayswater, you will oversee a team of Early Childhood Educators and Teachers to deliver kindergarten programs that support the wider community and provide high quality education and care to children.

We are looking for a strong, confident and experienced Leader and Teacher to lead a large team of dedicated Early Childhood Teachers and Educators. This unique part-time, ongoing opportunity will provide the right leader with the space to thrive in a program with strong ties to the community.

This position is a parental leave cover position and is expected to end in August 2026. This role is for 48 hours per fortnight, with the rostered hours being 8am to 4:30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8am to 4pm on Wednesdays.

Working to one of the National or Victorian early learning frameworks, you will:

  • Develop an educational program that meets the interests and abilities of each child.
  • Drive enrolments and build the program to include other services that meet community needs.
  • Create a quality and diverse educational program that sees every child actively participate.

Your skills and experience

You enjoy working autonomously while being part of, and supported by, a collaborative and forward-thinking team. You can develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, with empathy and support at the forefront of your work.

You’ll also bring with you:

  • A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood or equivalent Approved Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority qualification).
  • A current VIT Registration.
  • Experience gained in Early Childhood.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills, including high attention to detail.
