You are a compassionate, resilient individual with life experience, perhaps as a parent, looking to make a meaningful difference as a residential carer for young people. Your strong ability to understand, work and connect with children will enable you to provide personal care that respects the dignity and privacy of the children.
Whether you are an experienced youth worker seeking flexibility with your hours or you’re ready for your next career, one that will have a positive impact in your local community – we would love to hear from you.
As a Residential Practitioner, you will play a key role in the lives of young people currently living in residential services, supporting them to live safely within our houses. It’s hands-on, often challenging, but can also be rewarding. You will help create an environment that promotes positive respect and provides care that meets a young person's needs.
You will receive a comprehensive induction and mentoring program to support your transition into the role and ensure your success.
In addition to the base hourly rate and superannuation, you’ll also receive 25% casual loading. You can also increase your take-home pay by accessing salary packaging benefits, which can be used for living expenses such as groceries, bills, clothing, streaming services, and more.

Additionally, if you are undertaking the minimum qualification, you are expected to complete the qualification within the timeframe prescribed by the education training provider.
