Your new role

As an OSHC Lead Educator, you will play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where school-aged children can learn, grow and thrive. Working collaboratively with children, families and your team, you will deliver high-quality before and after school care programs aligned with the My Time, Our Place framework, support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. You will build positive relationships, foster children's wellbeing and development, and contribute to a fun, supportive and child-focused service.

Your skills and experience

You'll be right at home at Uniting if you're passionate about providing high-quality early learning experiences and share our belief that children's safety, wellbeing and development should always come first.

The successful candidate is required to hold current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications, as well as a valid Employee Working with Children Check or Working with Vulnerable Persons Check applicable to the state in which the service operates.

Key experience and capabilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of developmentally appropriate programs in partnership with educators, families, and children.
  • Planning, reflecting, managing workloads, and prioritising time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the National Law and Regulations.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within an early childhood setting.
  • Understanding and applying early childhood development theories to support children's learning and development.
  • Current National Child Safety Training and any applicable state-based Child Safety Training (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
