Working Hours

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 2:45pm to 6:00pm
  • Plus, allocated non-contact time for administration tasks (3 hours a fortnight)
  • Ideal for educators seeking part-time hours that fit around study, family or other commitments

As an Educator at our St Josephs Uniting After School Care program, you'll be an important part of a team providing high-quality early childhood education and care. You'll:

  • Build strong, positive relationships with children
  • Support children's learning, development and wellbeing
  • Partner with families and the local community
  • Help deliver engaging educational programs based on approved learning frameworks
  • Support continuous improvement across the service

Our programs are guided by Australia's approved learning frameworks:

  • Belonging, Being & Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • My Time, Our Place: Framework for School Age Care

These frameworks support us in creating engaging environments where every child feels valued, confident and empowered to learn and grow.

Your skills and experience
  • Working towards Diploma or Diploma in Children’s Services (or equivalent as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority).
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check / Working with Vulnerable Persons Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Prior experience working in a kindergarten and / or other early childhood service providing high-quality care and educational services for children.
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of early childhood learning and development.
