About the opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced Diploma Qualified Educator or Early Childhood Teacher to join our team and support Educators in our Early Learning Service, based at Collingwood, working in the role of Educational Leader.

Through your effective education leadership, you will build the capacity of educators by inspiring, motivating, affirming, challenging, and extending their practice and pedagogy, while playing an influential and integral role in promoting positive outcomes for children and families.

What’s on offer.

In addition to receiving a salary and superannuation, you’ll receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.

About you

For this role you will have sound knowledge and experience in the application of approved learning frameworks and early childhood development and education.

You will also have:

  • Diploma in Children’s Services (or equivalent as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority), as a minimum OR Early Childhood Teaching Degree (or equivalent as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority).
  • A sound discipline knowledge including the underlying principles of early years gained through experience, education and/or training.
  • Have a sound understanding and knowledge of legislation, regulations, and standards, including Child Safe Standards governing the operation of children’s services.
  • Ability to develop, document and implement a high quality, developmentally appropriate education program for kindergarten children in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Excellent people skills and an ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, other staff, and professionals.
  • Well-developed leadership and self-motivation skills.
