About the opportunity
We have a part-time role (40 hours per fortnight) for a skilled and bachelor-qualified teacher to join our three-year-old program at our Horsham Uniting Kindergarten.
You will oversee service operations to maintain compliance and quality and to provide leadership to a passionate and professional team to ensure the provision of quality early childhood programs.
You will also ensure we provide an environment that reflects a safe, inclusive, responsive and supportive program where the interests and needs of children are the foundation for creating the educational programs.
Strong leadership, knowledge of contemporary early childhood practice, provision of high-quality programs, and continuous quality improvement are hallmarks of this position.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Teaching (or equivalent as approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority – ACECQA) – essential.
First aid training as prescribed in the Education and Care Services National Regulations, including first aid, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma management.
Extensive experience in a Kindergarten and/or other early childhood service providing high quality care and education services for children.
Extensive experience in a leadership role in a Kindergarten and/other early childhood setting.
A sound knowledge and understanding of early childhood learning and development.
