Your new role

As a Certificate III qualified Educator for our Kindergarten in Port Melbourne, you will be part of a small team to delivering early learning programs that support the wider community and provide high-quality education and care to children.

This role is for 8 hours per fortnight, with the roster being Mondays and Wednesdays from 12 noon to 2pm.

This opportunity will provide the chance to work with our Service Leader to establish and grow an exceeding program with strong ties to school and community.

Working to one of the National or Victorian early learning frameworks, you will:

  • Support the development and delivery an educational program that meets the interests and abilities of each child.
  • Help to increase enrolments and build the program to include other services that meet community needs.
  • Participate in delivering a quality and diverse educational program that sees every child actively participate.

Your skills and experience

You'll be right at home at Uniting if you're passionate about providing high-quality early learning experiences and share our belief that children's safety, wellbeing and development should always come first.

You’ll bring with you:

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent as approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority).
  • First aid training as prescribed in the Education and Care Services National Regulations, including first aid, anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management.
  • Current National Child Safety Training and any applicable state-based Child Safety Training (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
