Your new role

Our Enhanced Therapeutic Contact Service (ETCS) is a unique program which facilitates supervised contact visits for children and young people aged 0-18 years, who have been removed from their parents’ care due to concerns of abuse and/or neglect. Responding to referrals from Child Protection, the program aims to support contact as a therapeutic experience for children, their parents and family members in a safe and stable environment. Contact visits can occur at our Doveton centre, in the community or the home.

This is a part time hybrid role requiring energy, flexibility, existing wisdom, and common sense, along with capacity to work as a team and learn new practice skills. Ideal entry point into the child & family welfare sector, OR for experienced practitioners, the chance to engage in study or be home more.  Case Support staff at ETCS work closely with Keyworkers to ensure children are supported and have a safe and stable environment from where they can enjoy quality contact visits with family.

Case Support workers have varied responsibilities ranging from supervising contact visits between children in Out of Home Care and their parents and ensuring the smooth running of the busy program such as managing resources, maintenance of the play spaces, and transporting children (after-hours work will be required from time to time).
