Your new role

The Navigator team is excited to announce an exclusive opportunity for a passionate individual to join the Navigator Program team as a Case Manager.

Working collaboratively with partner agencies, as a Case Manager you will provide direct support to a caseload of disengaged learners. The role will undertake comprehensive assessments, establish and lead a care team and work together with children and families to establish individualised education re-engagement plans.

About the program

Delivered in partnership with the Australian Childhood Foundation, the Navigator Program utilises a trauma informed, culturally safe assertive case management model to respond to challenges experienced by young people aged 12–17 years with the goal of re-engaging disengaged learners in education providing a unique chance for an internal team member to contribute to positive change.

The program utilises a capability approach that understands how multiple characteristics can interact to compound educational disengagement that can result in disconnection and a lack of a sense of purpose and self-worth for young people. This amplifies service barriers and exacerbates social and economic disadvantage, and social isolation.
