Your new role
As Financial Controller, you provide leadership to the financial accounting team and will oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
You will be responsible for statutory reporting obligations, taxation, and compliance requirements’ financial reporting, controls, and audit; treasury and certain finance systems. You will also work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure the CFO remains adequately briefed on organisational financial risk.

Your skills and experience
You will bring with you:
A Bachelor degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business or equivalent
Membership with Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA), CPA Australia or equivalent
Current knowledge of relevant accounting standards
Previous experience leading monthly financial month end close, statutory reporting and cash flow management
Demonstrated experience working with an array of systems to support financial processes including automation tools
Previous experience in the not for profit sector is preferred, but not essential
