Your new role
We have an opportunity for an Entry Point Worker to join our Homelessness Intake and Prevention Program. The Entry Point team provides crisis accommodation, housing information and support to individuals, couples and families who are homeless, or at risk of experiencing homelessness.
As an Entry Point Worker, you will:
Carry out comprehensive assessments of client accommodation and support needs
Assist clients to identify and address the support needs that contributed to their homelessness or risk of homelessness
Support clients through advocacy and referral to relevant services and resources
Assist with the management and distribution of material aid and donations
Maintain client records, program documentation and data
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other programs and services for client referral and support

Your skills and experience
You will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a Diploma (or higher) qualification in a community services related discipline.
You will also have:
Current valid driver’s license in Victoria
Previous experience within the homelessness and/or housing sector
Excellent risk assessment and risk management skills
Proven ability work collaboratively with other programs and services to achieve successful client outcomes
A client focused approach, with the ability to prioritise the individual needs of each client
