Your new role

Our childcare and kindergarten service at Rupert Street in Collingwood has educated and cared for children in the community since 1907.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Early Childhood Teacher to join the team, working 75 hours per fortnight.

As a qualified Early Childhood Teacher, you will support the overall operations of the service and lead, guide, and support a team which provides high-quality early childhood education and care to children.

This includes:

• Providing pedagogical leadership to the team to ensure the provision of a contemporary, quality and diverse educational program based on an approved curriculum framework.
• Ensuring children’s agency, choice and influence are promoted, so that the programs meet the interests and abilities of each child.
• Providing leadership and being part of a large passionate professional team ensuring the provision of quality Early Childhood programs at the early learning service.
• Ensuring partnerships are developed with families and in the community.
• Ongoing reflective practice, critical reflection and developing a positive professional team and organisational culture.

Your skills and experience

You'll be right at home at Uniting if you're passionate about providing high-quality early learning experiences and share our belief that children's safety, wellbeing and development should always come first.

You’ll bring with you:

• A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood or equivalent Approved Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority qualification).
• Current VIT registration.
• Current National Child Safety Training and any applicable state-based child safety training (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
• Experience gained in early childhood education, with experience as an Educational Leader.
• Strong organisation and planning skills, including a high attention to detail.
• Current National Child Safety Training and any applicable state-based Child Safety Training (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
