As the Cook at Bass Valley Uniting Early Learning, you’ll play an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the children in our care.
You’ll work collaboratively with our educators, children and families to develop and implement the centre’s food safety program and healthy eating policy, recognising the vital link between nutrition and children’s growth, development and learning.
You’ll be responsible for planning menus, managing the food budget, ordering supplies, shopping, preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks that meet the diverse dietary, medical and cultural needs of our children.
In this hands-on role, you’ll oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained at all times in line with regulations and Nutrition Australia Dietary Guidelines.
As part of our team, you’ll also contribute to the centre’s philosophy and commitment to continuous improvement, helping create a nurturing, safe and high-quality environment for every child.
The role is part-time, 5 days per week and is an ongoing position
