Your new role

Uniting is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to oversee several Children, Youth and Families programs across the Wimmera region, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard and aligned with Uniting’s Therapeutic Model of Care. This role is responsible for the effective coordination of programs including Access to Early Learning, Early Help Wimmera, the Wimmera Parent Support Network and the Early Childhood Development Coordinator initiative.

The Team Leader works closely with staff to maintain consistent, high-quality service delivery through routine supervision, strong practice guidance and, when required, direct client support. The role ensures that program delivery remains therapeutic, strengths‑based and responsive to the needs of children, young people and families within the community.

A key focus of the position is managing the operational performance of each program, meeting contract requirements and ensuring efficiency and value for money in service delivery. The successful applicant will bring strong leadership capability, excellent organisational skills and a commitment to supporting a team to deliver effective, community‑focused services.

Your skills and experience
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience delivering children and families services, including statutory care and placement programs.
  • Experience building strong partnerships with stakeholders and communities in regional areas.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing staff.
  • Ability to engage and work effectively with consumers experiencing homelessness in a respectful, compassionate and appropriate manner.
