Your new role

Join our team and coordinate our volunteers and daily operations of our Op Shop in Daylesford. It’s a great opportunity to be part of a friendly community, it’s lively and varied! This on-call casual role will include shifts from 3 to 7.6 hours from Tuesdays to Sundays and selected public holidays.

Our Op Shops team are responsible for bringing their creative flair to create visually appealing and contemporary Op Shops. We encourage and build a culture of productivity, imagination, innovation, change and development. Our Op Shops allow you to tap into your natural way of being creative, enthusiastic, and having fun.

Our aim is to delight people in a meaningful and memorable way, while offering positive customer experiences, high level visual merchandising, critical stock and space management, achieving sales targets, and celebrating Uniting’s culture.

In addition to your base salary of $28.12 per hour plus super and weekend penalty rates (if applicable), you can access the following:

  • Ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits which can be used for living expenses such as rent, groceries, bills, clothing, and much more
  • 10% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre.
  • 25% discount at Uniting Op Shops.
Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for fashion and charity retail and have a flair for visual merchandising.

You will ideally have experience in cash handling, register operations and closing procedures and be confident in supervising a team as well as working on your own.

You will also be available to work weekends and public holidays, sometimes at short notice.
