Your new role

As the Media and Content Coordinator, you will support day-to-day media relations and content activities including daily media monitoring and content gathering for use across Uniting’s owned channels.

In this role, you will assist in delivery of integrated communication campaigns to support Uniting's reputation, build awareness of Uniting's work and profile Uniting's social justice and advocacy agenda.

This role will be required to undertake work outside of business hours at different periods and may be required to travel in regional Victoria and Tasmania to gather content or support media events at times.

Your skills and experience
  • Relevant qualification, either within the fields of communications, media or journalism or in another field with relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a content/communications role.
  • Ability to gather content using various methods including text, image and video
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital /social media platforms and community management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to engage and support consumers as well as collaborate with internal colleagues.
