The Manager, Executive Services sits within the Office of the CEO and works closely with the CEO, Board and Uniting Leadership Team as a senior strategic partner. Similar in nature to a Chief of Staff–style function, this role focuses on helping leaders operate effectively in a complex organisation and external environment.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor in the executive space, helping leaders stay aligned, prepared and ahead of emerging issues. A key part of the role is supporting executive readiness for engagement with government and sector stakeholders. Working in partnership with Advocacy and Communications, you will ensure our interactions are well prepared, purposeful and strategic.

Your key responsibilities
  • Lead the operations of the Office of the CEO, ensuring effective coordination, planning and support across executive and governance environments
  • Act as a strategic partner within the executive environment, supporting the CEO and Leadership Team to translate priorities into coordinated action
  • Support executive readiness for government and sector engagement, working in partnership with Advocacy and Communications
  • Anticipate emerging issues, risks and opportunities, ensuring leaders are prepared and well positioned
  • Support the CEO, Chair, Board and Leadership Team with high-level executive and governance coordination
  • Oversee board and committee governance processes, ensuring strong preparation, information flow and follow-up
  • Coordinate leadership priorities and forums, helping ensure consistency, clarity and alignment across teams
  • Strengthen executive office systems, workflows and operating rhythms to improve leadership effectiveness
Why this role is a great opportunity

This is a high-trust, high-visibility role where you will:

  • Be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CEO, Board and Leadership Team
  • Use your strategic judgement, insight and systems thinking to strengthen governance, executive systems and leadership coordination
  • Continue to grow your networks and stakeholder engagement across government and sector partners
  • Work in a purpose-driven organisation making real community impact across Victoria and Tasmania
  • Take a strong step toward future Chief of Staff, governance leadership or broader organisational leadership roles

Uniting benefits include:

  • Competitive salary aligned to senior manager level (from $150K + super, negotiable)
  • CBD office location with excellent end-of-trip facilities + hybrid work arrangements
  • Salary packaging: up to $15,900 per year to reduce taxable income, plus $2,650 meal entertainment benefit
Your skills and experience

If you’re someone who thinks ahead, operates comfortably in complex environments, and thrives on helping leaders perform at their best, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll also bring with you:

  • Experience acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in complex environments
  • Strong stakeholder relationship capability and the ability to influence without formal authority
  • Understanding of government-funded or regulated environments and sector engagement contexts
