About the opportunity

We are seeking a Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator for our Melton kindergarten located at the Melton Uniting Church, behind the Melton Valley Golf Club, a short walk to the local primary school.

This part-time, ongoing position is for 37 hours per fortnight.

The Early Childhood Educator (Diploma qualified) will be responsible for ensuring all children and families attending the service are provided with a safe, stimulating and supportive environment. The position will include supervision and assistance to other Early Years educators within the service to ensure practices and processes are consistent with regulatory compliance.

The position may be required to assist in service delivery at peak times or as required at any Uniting service and is flexible with working hours according to service delivery requirements.

About you

To be successful in your application, you will:

  • Have a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or are currently studying towards the qualification, with experience working in this position preferred
  • Have sound knowledge of the underlying principles of Early Years, gained through experience, education and / or training
  • Some flexibility to work longer days, outside of school hours.
