About the opportunity
As the Senior Manager - Homelessness you will have responsibility for the effective delivery of homelessness services. With Ballarat at the epicentre, Uniting’s homelessness services span the breadth of the Western region from Wyndham to the Wimmera. As Senior Manager you will work together with the leadership team across the relevant programs to deliver priorities and goals which align with Uniting’s Strategic Plan and operational plan objectives.
This key position will play a significant role in building positive and lasting relationships both internally and externally, including the Uniting Church Presbytery and will provide leadership and guidance to a team of staff that contributes to the delivery of programs at the local level.

You will have five years or more experience and a well-developed knowledge working in homelessness or related services, five years or more experience in management and leadership roles with the community services sector, be outcomes driven, and work in a highly collaborative way across a range of levels within, and external to Uniting.
You will have a bachelor level qualification in social work or equivalent and experience in a supervisory role.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor level in relevant professional discipline (essential)
- Masters level in management or equivalent (preferred)
- Extensive knowledge and experience working in either homelessness, housing or tenancy related services (5 years minimum).
- Management and leadership experience of 5 years or more and demonstrated ability to lead successful teams achieve outcomes.
- Evidence of high level financial and budget management skills
