About the opportunity
We currently have a unique opportunity for an experienced Forensic AOD Clinician to join our team at Port Phillip Prison on a part-time maximum term basis. The role will be 0.6 FTE 3 days per week or 0.8 FTE working 4 days per week.
This position plays a critical role in the provision of effective Forensic AOD treatment through comprehensive assessments and treatment services using the Risk Need Responsivity Model, assisting prisoner to exit the prison system with the skills to assist them to live a substance and offence free life in the community.

About you
As a Forensic AOD Clinician you will ensure the delivery of our programs within the prison environment. You will be responsible for providing psycho educational and therapeutic group programs, 1:1 counselling, and will work closely with prison officers and partner agencies.
To be successful in the role you will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or Allied Health Sciences, have four key competencies in AOD, qualifications in dual diagnosis or willingness to undertake, a current Victorian driver’s license, and experience working in the AOD sector, particularly with a forensic client base or in a corrections setting.
