About the opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced AOD Family Counsellor to join our existing team mother and baby withdrawal unit located in Ivanhoe.

This role works with Family support services, Maternal and Child Heath Nurses, AOD service streams (Intake and Assessment, Counselling, Care Coordination.

You will provide high quality engagement, assessment, treatment and pre and post support services to individuals and their families, using best practice principles including Family Inclusive Practice and Dual Diagnosis principles.

About you

To be successful you will have as a minimum bachelor level relevant health and or welfare Tertiary Qualification such as Social Work, Psychology or Allied Health Sciences. Also you will  have or be willing to undertake the key competencies in AOD and dual diagnosis. At least 3 years experience working with clients with problematic drug and/or alcohol use is essential.
